Dutch Secondary Education System

Primary schools have started giving their final advice to students. Parents and Students now have to look for Secondary schools and streams.

Pupils receive school advice in group 8 of primary school. They will need this advice when entering secondary school.

The school advice states which type of secondary school is best for a student. And it provides insight into the development of a pupil during the entire primary school period.

The school then looks at each student for, among other things:

• what the student is good at;
• how well the student learns;
• results of tests.

In this session we will compare Indian schooling vs Dutch and how the advice works.

I will be supported by 2 other parents who have kids also in Middelbaar school. We will also bring some kids into the call to help answering any specific questions or share experiences related to Dutch secondary school education.
